What you need to know about the terms and conditions of using our website and our online purchasing agreements.
General responsibilities
Choose your purchase carefully. Make sure all information that you give to us is correct, complete and current. Use our service in a responsible way. Follow all policies applying to your use of our services and any instructions we provide about using them.
General
All your transactions with us shall be subject to the terms and conditions set out on this website. When purchasing any items from this website you are deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions. All prices, descriptions and photos may change from time to time, if in doubt please contact us for up-date information. Customers purchasing from this site must be over 18yrs or have the consent of the credit card holder. We will not be responsible for purchases made where consent was not agreed upon.
Pricing
The price for the products shall be the price quoted on the website at the time of making your order. By creating an order, you agree to pay us for the purchase of the products. All prices are payable in New Zealand dollars ($NZD).
Using our Online Shopping Service
Make your selection(s) by adding goods to your shopping basket. When you have finished shopping proceed to “Checkout”. Please fill in:
- Name, email address and phone number (including area code)
- Complete the delivery address
- Select method of payment
- Enter Credit Card numbers or other payment options (this page has a padlock secure site)
- Order completed (please check details are correct)
- You will receive an automatic confirmation email and your order will be shipped within 7 working days of receipt of order or you will be notified if any delays.
- If the Online or direct debit payment option is chosen you will receive a confirmation email which will include our bank account details.
- Pay by Cheque option - you will receive a confirmation email which will include where to send it to. When your cheque has been cleared, your order will be shipped.

We provide you with a secure worry-free shopping experience. You can see the secure padlock in the top address bar and at the bottom of your screen on the secure pages as you checkout.

Your details are Private
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We do not ever sell or disclose our mailing lists or customer information to any other third party, unless required by law.
Your confidence and privacy is important to us.
Any details you provide when placing orders or inquiries will be treated in the strictest confidence and used to process your order only. To make future ordering easier and quicker, we will retain your name and contact details on our mailing list. If you wish to be removed from our mailing list please email us.
Guarantee
You can buy with confidence as all products we guarantee are as described.
If the goods are faulty, we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy. Our aim is to have happy, satisfied customers.
Return policy and procedure
Funky Rainbows will replace or refund if you are not entirely happy with your purchase. Goods must be returned within 10 days of receipt, in original condition and packaging accompanied by the original invoice number.
E-mail us in the first instance outlining your problem. Include the following information: Order number, a daytime phone number and the reason for wanting to return your garment(s), let us know whether your preference is replacement or refund. You will receive a replacement or a full refund. Please email us to ask for our return address.
To return an item:
- Please package carefully and return by (Courier post track & Trace) as we cannot credit goods damaged in the mail if they are unusable. Common sense prevails.
- Return your item within 10 days of receipt to the address given.
- You will be notified by email when your return has been processed, which should be within 10 working days, and we can organize your preference.
Re-shipping costs will apply to international orders. Within NZ your 1st exchange will be free of courier charges however 2nd and subsequent exchanges will attract normal standard courier charges. It is recommended for your own protection that you return garments by Courier track and trace. Funky Rainbows cannot accept liability for any lost or damaged goods in transit, or goods that do not reach us.

Shipping
Shipping within New Zealand
- In New Zealand all items are sent via Courier post Track & Trace facility.
- We use this method as we are able to properly package your goods for safe shipping so hopefully nothing goes astray :)
FREE SHIPPING within New Zealand
This applies to all orders within New Zealand only.
International Shipping
Most orders are sent within 3 days of the order being received. We will always send your item by the most economical safe delivery method available for the size of your package. If you want it to go faster please advise when ordering. All international orders over $100 in value, and up to 2kg in weight, will be sent by insured track and trace air post. An indication of the cost is below:
- Australia: $36.70
- South Pacific: $52.43
- East Asia & North America: $64.56
- UK & Europe: $70.25
- Rest of the World: $73.04
Note that when you place your order on the website, it shows a charge of $0. We will email you prior to debiting your credit card to confirm the total of your order including the actual shipping. Please ensure your email address is typed correctly! Remember all prices on our website site are in NZ$ (New Zealand dollars). Approximate delivery times according to New Zealand Post:
- Australian orders 3-5 days.
- USA orders 5-7 days.
- UK orders 7-10 days.
- Europe and Ireland 7-10 days (some countries may be longer eg. France).
- Canada 7 - 14 days.
(Please remember that near Christmas, all mail takes longer).
Please note we are subject to international postal systems, but these times are a guideline for you to know when to expect your delivery. Please note that customs and country import taxes that are specific to your country are your responsibility.
Postage and Packaging
We use local or national courier companies for our deliveries.
Postage on items within New Zealand is included in the garment cost.
For interneational orders please contact us to confirm the postage and packaging cost. You must make certain that the goods are in good order before you accept them from the courier. We cannot accept responsibility for damaged goods after you have accepted them from the courier. If you are in doubt please ask the courier to return the goods to us for a full refund.
Payment
- You are responsible for the payment of goods in your ‘Shopping basket” when you ‘checkout’.
- The goods in your shopping basket will be shipped to the delivery address you provide after your payment has been cleared.
- All goods will remain the property of Funky Rainbows until payment has been received in full.
- Payment can be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) cheque or direct credit to our account
- Other methods of payment may be available on an individual basis. Please contact us prior to ‘checking out”
International Orders
Funky Rainbows does accept international orders. Please contact us to confirm postage & packaging and payment options.
